Before your appointment: you will need to stop retinol skin therapy and blood thinners one week prior to the appointment.
During the treatment: You will have a topical anesthetic applied to your skin for at least 45 minutes prior to treatment. Once treatment begins, it will take approximately 15-30 minutes depending on treatment area size. The intended skin reaction is redness and warmth, with some pinprick spots of blood. We can enhance the results with added serums as well.
After treatment: Plan for one day of social downtime, as you will appear with a diffuse redness and minimal swelling on your skin. No makeup is to be applied for 24 hours. A post treatment skin care kit is available and encouraged for best results. Swelling and small flaky scabs may occur day 3-5 following treatment, and ice compresses can be applied. This is not painful. You will want to avoid direct sun exposure to the treatment area, and apply sunscreen for 2-4 weeks following treatment, for best results.
